200 years ago, back in 1807, Heinrich Bucher-Weiss took over a blacksmith's shop in the hamlet of Murzeln in Niederweningen, laying the foundation for the Bucher Group. Over its 200-year history, Bucher has grown into a global mechanical and vehicle engineering corporation.

Today, we are a global technology group, manufacturing state-of-the-art machinery and vehicles in production facilities located around the world. The Bucher Group is headquartered in Switzerland and listed on the SWX Swiss Exchange.

Emhart Glass is the world's leading supplier of advanced technologies for manufacturing and inspecting glass containers, with a portfolio encompassing glass container forming and inspection machinery, systems, components, spare parts, advice and services for the glass container industry. Bucher Specials consists of several independent businesses: winemaking equipment, fruit juice processing equipment, food drying and sludge dewatering technologies, and the Swiss distributorship for tractors and agricultural machinery.
